This article describes neuroscience in the learning process in high school students of the Santa María Monte de Paz Educational Unit located in the Monte Sinai Sector in Guayaquil, Ecuador. This constitutes a case study from the so-called global south. A discussion about applying neuroscience in the classroom is presented. One of the axes is to determine the tools the teacher needs to consider to take advantage of brain functioning and improve the quality of education. The article also discusses the benefits and contributions of neuroeducation, as well as the individuality in learning and brain development. This study was developed from a qualitative approach, with a documentary design and descriptive scope, based on the selective search, analysis, and critical interpretation of printed and electronic documents on the subject of study. A reflexive content analysis of theories and research on neurosciences, neuroeducation, teaching and learning process, and educational quality is used to answer the objective of this research.
